Vintage Market Paint - A Chalk, Mineral & Gesso Based Velvety Smooth Paint that is suitable for wood, metal, plastics, brick, stone, glass, concrete and so much more. Perfect for chalk painting wood or already painted furniture, cabinets or any DIY project.

Application:
We recommend cleaning your piece well with a solution of 1 cup of vinegar to 1 cup water and a splash of Dawn dishwashing liquid to cut grease and grime. A green scrubbing pad may be needed to remove hard built on grease or grime. Wipe piece thoroughly with a damp clean terry cloth to remove and leftover residue. Let dry completely. Drying time will depend on the area you live in. Here in the SW, things dry pretty quickly.
Stir and mix paint well.
Pour paint into a separate container (ie. clear plastic cup, plastic plate or bowl)
Extend brush only 1/4" into paint
Apply very thin coat in a criss cross pattern.
Allow to dry, then 'cure' (allowing strong adhesion) for 3-12 hours depending on humidity levels in your area.
Apply 2nd coat in same manner. Paint is self-leveling.
Allow to dry and "cure" for 12-24 hours.
Our recommendation for high use pieces: After 24 hours apply a coat of VMP&F Clear Coat Sealer, let dry, lightly sand with a buffing pad to remove any particles that may have settled on your piece, wipe with a clean damp microfiber or cheese cloth to remove any debris, let dry, repeat the process 1-2 more times to insure durability, ending with a final coat of Clear Sealer.
Optional: Apply VMP&F Natural Wax before sealing to enhance depth or to deepen tone of paint color. VMP&F Wax will combine with VMP&F Clear Coat Sealer creating an enduring finish.

4 Ounce- Coverage=12-25 sq ft
8 Ounce- Coverage=25-50 sq ft
16 Ounce- Coverage=50-100 sq ft
32 Ounce- Coverage=100-160 sq ft
